became available from the Essex, Vt. fire department. We purchased this truck for
$56,000, a savings of over $200,000 if we bought it new.

With fire department volunteer labor over 4 separate weekends, we built an extension on
Station 2 in order to fit our new rescue truck. Over 100 man hours went into this building
upgrade. All at no cost.

We located an excellent four-wheel drive used ambulance from a department in Maryland. It
cost $28,000. We had quotes from dealers for a new ambulance that would cost $134,000. A
savings of over $100,000.
